Selection.com is a great tool for HR professionals, providing background checks and other information gathering techniques to help hire the right people. But while most companies spend their ad dollars on magazines, radio, television, and other conventional media, CEO John Hart has better ideas. At a cost of about $30,000/year, Hart sponsors Team Fastrax, a skydiving group with chutes emblazed with the companies logo.
Hart equates the exposure to be worth about $75,000/year, making jumps into college football stadiums and other sporting events. Best of all, the team has expanded to 26 divers (including Hart) and four chute packers, all of which are paid by the dive. The team is slated to compete in the World Formation Skydiving Championships in Maubeuge, France in August. [via CNN.com]
